Community Living Windsor values the many dedicated individuals and groups who promote the inclusion of people who have an intellectual disability in all aspects of our community. Each year, awards and bursaries are made available to recognize individuals and groups by organizations including:
These awards and bursaries include: Malcolm Jeffreys Memorial Leadership AwardThis $1000 scholarship is awarded annually to a student who demonstrates excellence and leadership promise. For more information about criteria, timing and entry requirements, download the following document: Malcolm Jeffreys Memorial Leadership Award Bea DeBernardi Award for Inclusive EducationThis $1000 award celebrates the efforts that educators make toward an inclusive education experience for students who have an intellectual disability. For more information about eligibility, selection criteria and process, download the following document: Bea DeBernardi Award for Inclusive Education Community Living Windsor ScholarshipTo be eligible to receive a Community Living Windsor Scholarship, a student must be enrolled at St. Clair College as a full-time student leading to a Developmental Service Worker diploma. Applicants who meet the following criteria will be eligible to apply:

The Innovation Award is meant to be a force for change and encouragement to people of courage who often take a path less traveled. Download Innovation Award Application Form Anne Stafford “Light Up the Future” BursaryFinancial assistance for people who have an intellectual disability who want to further post-secondary education, training or apprenticeship opportunities. Download Bursary Application Form Canadian Association for Community Living Inclusive Education Award – OntarioA national award given by the Canadian Association for Community Living to a candidate nominated by Community Living Ontario during National Inclusive Education Week. Application deadline if February 28. James Montgomerie Community AwardThe James Montgomerie Community Award was established in memory of Jim Montgomerie. Jim felt very strongly that people who have an intellectual disability and who live in institutions, homes for special care, and nursing homes deserve a better quality of life. He dedicated much of his time and energy to this belief. Because of Jim\'s strong attachment to children, special consideration is given to organizations that have focused their attention on the needs of young people. Download James Montgomerie Honour Award Application Form Media AwardThe Media Award is presented to a journalist who has demonstrated excellence in either print or electronic media. The article must be relevant to people who have an intellectual disability. The recipient will be selected on the basis of an original article appearing in print or electronic media in Ontario between January 1 and December 31 of a given calendar year. Deadline for nominations is February 28.
