The access model for adults who have an intellectual disability in Windsor-Essex was designed through the joint efforts of the broader Windsor-Essex community including service providers, families, self advocates, and government. As a community, it was agreed that a common application form would be considered the intake and assessment method for individuals wishing to access supports and services.

Community Living Windsor’s Downtown Centre is located at 1225 McDougall Avenue. It is the home base for staff that provide support for individuals who do not want or need support workers present all the time. The individuals who receive support, along with their families, friends and support networks, provide the direction in which their support is provided.
