Community Living Windsor’s volunteer Board of Directors acts within a policy governance model and is responsible to oversee the execution of its mission and mandate.
The Current Board of Directors
- Bernie Mastromattei, Retired Educator, President
Bernie Mastromattei has been a member of Community Living Windsor Board of Directors since February 1988 and he was recently elected President in June 2016. He retired after thirty five years as a Special Educator. Bernie has been a Trustee for Windsor –Essex Catholic District School Board Wards 3 and 4 since 2010 as well as a former Board member of the St. Clair College Foundation.
- LeeAnn Poisson, Elementary School Principal, Vice-President
LeeAnn Poisson joined Community Living Windsor’s Board of Directors in May 2014 and was elected Vice President of the Board in June 2016. LeeAnn is a Principal- St. John Vianney Catholic School in Windsor, resides in Woodslee with husband Rob of 25 years and is the mother of four daughters, one of which has a diagnosis of Autism/Developmental Delay. In addition to CLW, she is currently a Board Member of Sundowners Day Care, a Past Board Member of: Family Respite Services, Autism Ontario Leadership Council and Lakeshore Lightning Girls Hockey.
- John Coughlin, Retired Hospital Executive, Treasurer
John Coughlin has been a member of the Community Living Windsor Board of Director’s since June 2012 and was elected treasurer of the Board in June 2015. He was called to the bar in 1978 and practiced law with the McTague Law firm until February 1982 when he was hired as the Director of Human Resources at Hotel- Dieu Hospital and from 1988 to 2010 John was Assistant Executive Director, Support Services/Vice President Corporate Services and he also acted as CEO and Interim CEO for a period of time.
- Richard Ruston, Self-Advocate, Secretary
Richard Ruston joined Community Living Windsor Board of Directors in 1993, he was elected secretary to the Community Living Windsor Board of Directors in 1996. Richard currently is the President of People First Ontario and one of the founding members of the original People First of Windsor chapter. He has served on the People First National Board for several years, and is proud of his term as President of People First Canada from 2008-2011. Richard is an accomplished speaker and has presented locally, provincially, nationally, and internationally. He has received many awards for his work throughout the years, including the Canadian Association for Community Living President’s Award, the Shelia French Award and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medial for his contributions to the disability community.
- Carla Campbell, Parent Activist
Carla Campbell joined the Community Living Windsor Board of Directors in 1986; she held office as the Vice President of the Board of Directors from 2008 until 2016. Carla is a wife, mother and grandmother and has served the community since she was a teenager. She was involved with church youth groups, school Service clubs and was a PTA member and a Beaver Leaders for Scouts Canada. Carla was also involved in multiple fundraising activities.
- Marleen Crawford, Homemaker and Parent
Marleen Crawford has been a member of Community Living Windsor Board of Directors since June 1991. She is a parent of a daughter with multiple disabilities. Marleen is also actively involved in the community as a member of the committee that created Windsor Essex Brokerage for Personal Supports, current board President of Windsor Essex Brokerage for Personal Supports, a member of the committee that created The Snoezelen Room and President of the board that managed the Snoezelen Room. She is a parent advocate at Windsor Essex Family Network and a chairperson of the Windsor Essex Community Planning Committee for Developmental Services.
- Alynn Godfroy, Financial Advisor
Alynn Godfroy joined Community Living Windsor’s Board of Directors in May 2014. She is a graduate of the University of Windsor with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce in 2003, majoring in Finance and Accounting and is a licensed financial advisor.Alynn is the Charter President of Windsor’s newest Rotary club – the Rotary Club of Windsor-Walkerville and a past member of the Rotary Club of Belle River and Windsor-St. Clair.
- Pat Milloy, Retired Lawyer
Pat Milloy joined Community Living Windsor Board of Directors in June 2016 and had practiced law in the Windsor community for over 30 years.
- Bruce Montone, Retired Chief of Windsor Fire & Rescue Services
Bruce Montone joined the Community living Board of Directors in June 2016. He is currently Fire Chief for the Town of Amherstburg and has been in the Public Service for over 40 years. Bruce has volunteered in his community and has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Diabetes Association, Simcoe County, and is the Past Chairman of the Government Relation Committee for the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs, He has also been Chairman of the Canadian Transportation Emergency Rescue Committee. Bruce is also a certified Program Evaluator by the Canadian Program Evaluators Society.
- Donald Shaban, Retired Human Resource Practitioner
Donald Shaban joined the Community Living Windsor Board of Directors in 2012. Recently retired as the senior human resource practitioner with the County of Essex, Don has over 30 years of experience in personnel, industrial relations and human resource management in Canada and the United States. Hehas held positions as President, Past President and is currently an honorary life member of the Ontario Municipal Human Resources Association. Don has volunteered for the United Way as a chapter chairperson and is a Board member for Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization.

Hello. I’m Bernie Mastromattei, the President of the Board of Directors of Community Living Windsor. It is a privilege and honour to use my skills and experience to serve both the community and the people and families supported by Community Living Windsor. On a personal level, my role as a board member has been very rewarding and fulfilling. I am proud to be connected and contribute to shaping an organization that values partnerships and promotes a vision where everyone belongs within their community.
